The Essence of Reality from a business viewpoint, chaos challenges conventional wisdom as the word Chaos implies. Time Management can prepare for the complexity and unpredictability rather than trying to control the inevitable breakdown of an organization's system.
For example: One of my clients asked me to help him and his business prepare for the “explosion,” as he put it, which seemed to occur every Thursday.
Setting up a Time Management system with his Thursday scenario as a focal point enabled him and his business to prevent chaos and stay on track with their project timeline. What became interesting with the new schedule was, that chaos became managed rather than reactionary.
In the end, his business model embraced chaos as inevitable at times as well as managed during those times. The Time Management schedule fostered adaptability, innovation, and the ability to withstand or recover quickly. Time Management setup in this manner, provided support for individuals, as well as for the organization as a whole.
Most important is to realize that a business owner or employee presents a positive face for the company, which is a valuable asset in the navigation of chaos and indicates confidence to the company, as well as their customers. By embracing and managing chaos, a company demonstrates order in the disorder.
Time Management can only work when a schedule is set up with every individual working on a project. The best part for a manager/supervisor is that generally, the portion most needed does not end up back on their desk. Time Management fosters accountability and highlights time frames that cannot be overlooked.
Finally, an organization with a Time Management system finds order in the “explosion” with confidence by embracing chaos as it occurs and enables a company to thrive in a global landscape.
